In it's latest round of fundraising, DoorDash is seeking to raise an additional $500 million at a valuation of around $6 billion.
The food delivery business is not for the weak...and certainly not for those with weak bank accounts. Reflecting both the ultra competitive nature of the industry, and the confidence that investors have in it's continued growth, DoorDash is seeking to raise an additional $500 million in financing valuing the company at $6-$7 billion. Other major competitors include the publicly traded industry leader, Grubhub and deep-pocketed private company Uber Eats.
