The Halal Guys and Wetzel's Pretzels are just two of the latest companies to explore the Virtual Restaurant world.

The Halal Guys and Wetzel's Pretzels are getting in to the Virtual Restaurant industry by taking space at Kitchen United's Pasadena location. Kitchen United is on an aggressive expansion path to open Ghost Kitchens across the United States
Wetzel's Pretzels operates around 340 bakeries across the United States and overseas. The Pasadena Ghost Restaurant represents their first off-premise kitchen and is designed as an experiment to test delivery options and demand. Being primarily a mall-based operation, delivery has always posed logistical problems for Wetzel's. This off-premise kitchen should solve that issue.

The Halal Guys is a nationwide franchise operation that developed from a famous food cart in New York. They now have over 200 units open or in development around the world. The Pasadena Ghost Kitchen has been taken by one of their franchisees. “As a brand that started as a food cart in NYC, we know firsthand the value of providing an off-premise experience for our customers,” Thomas Pham, CEO of Halal Guys franchise Halal or Nothing, said in a press release.
